MAHS offers a Dual Enrollment program that allows high school students to earn college credit on-site by successfully completing specified high school courses with at least a 75% average in the course. Students receive both secondary and postsecondary credit for their coursework. Dual Enrollment courses are designed to help academic students build skills and habits that will help them be successful in college in a financially advantageous way. Dual Enrollment C.P. courses may approach college-level rigor in a supportive and collaborative environment, while covering content and standards approved by the partner college but taught in a high school classroom. A.P. courses eligible for Dual Enrollment credit will be taught at a college level in accordance with the College Board’s prescribed curriculum and as approved by the partner college

The Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning or success. SAP is designed to identify academic, social, attendance, substance use, mental health, and other concerns which pose a barrier to student success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school.
The core of the Student Assistance Program is a professionally trained team, including school staff and liaisons from community drug and alcohol, mental health, or behavioral health agencies. SAP team members are trained to review incoming referrals, gather data, and make recommendations to support students in overcoming barriers to learning. These recommendations may include supports and services offered within the school or community. SAP team members do not diagnose, treat, or refer to treatment for behavioral health concerns. The engagement of students and families throughout the SAP process is essential. The SAP team will assist parents in accessing any recommended services and supports.

The Student Evaluation Team (SET) is a collaborative problem-solving team that works to address academic and social-emotional concerns that may interfere with a student’s success in the school setting. The primary role of the SET team is to review data, share observations, and develop targeted supports for students.
Students should be referred to the Student Evaluation Team (SET) when academic or social-emotional concerns persist despite the use of general classroom supports and interventions.
Importantly, the SET process occurs before any referral for a psychoeducational evaluation, ensuring that students have access to appropriate interventions and resources prior to considering formal assessment by the School Psychologist.
